Directions to Hvítserkur

The Hvítserkur looks like a monster turned into stone. According to legend, Hvítserkur was a troll from the Westfjords, who wanted to break a church bell. He was however caught by the sun and turned into stone. The droppings of the many birds resting and brooding there give the rock its white colour.
